Apply now for admission to ILTexas Private High School for the Fall school semester that starts in August 2021. Applying now helps insure a spot for the student at ILTexas Private High School. ITL is fully aware of the current Covid 19 situation and is well established with comprehensive  Online capabilities. While ILT has compliant onsite classes it also realizes that certain students and their families may be more comfortable with an online strategy for various reasons. In the end, either way the student can graduate with a ILT US diploma.

ILTexas is fully committed to compying with all CDC, State and Federal requirements to help insure as safe as possbile environment for ILT students learning on campus and living both on campus and locally.

Q. How does a student apply?
A. We will be glad to send you an application. Our team is also prepared to work with you locally and help you fill out the forms needed. It is usually faster to let our team help you and it minimize any chance for error or delay.

Q. How long after I submit my application should I hear back with a response.
A. You will receive a confirmation email after the application is reviewed. This is usually within 2 business days.

Q. How long after the application is submitted will an Acceptance Letter be issued?
A. It will usually be 3-5 business days until you receive your Acceptance Letter. An interview with the student will first take place by either Skype or phone prior to the issuance of the Acceptance Letter.

Q. How long until the I-20 form is issued?
A. The I-20 will usually be issued at 5-7 days. This is contingent on receipt of all additional information and full payment in a timely manner.

Q. When does the school year start?
A. For 2014 the student apartments will be ready to accept students on August 1st. The actual first day of school is August 21st. Start date will vary slightly each year depending on the calendar.

Q. Is there a later date that the student can start classes?
A. Yes, the latest date that a student can start classes for the fall semester is September 4th. This date may change slightly each year depending on the calendar.

Q. If the student is not ready or able to start classes in the fall can they start in the Spring of of a school year?
A. Yes, the student can apply and schedule to start classes in the Spring of a school year. The Spring semester usually starts in early January.


Q. What is included in the total package cost?

A. We offer what we term a 'turnkey' package that includes almost everything that your child will need. This includes tuition, student apartment, 3 meals a day, laptop, mobile phone, health insurance, certain educational trips, transit pass for bus and train, and many other items. Of course personal spending is not included.


Q. If the student believes that they do not have adequate English language skills is there additional tutoring available?

A. Yes, ESL ( English as Second Language) teachers are available to work with students requesting this help.


Q. What is the easiest way to travel to Dallas Texas?

A. American Airlines has daily direct flights from Shanghai and Hong Kong to Dallas Fort Worth Intl Airport. Starting on May 7, 2015 American Airlines will also have a direct daily flight from Beijing.


Q. Can a visit to the school be arranged?

A. Yes, we are happy to arrange a visit to the school at any convenient time.


Q. Are there special Winter or Summer camps available for the students to participate at the school?

A. Yes, we offer a Winter and a Summer camp trip to the school so the student can experience the classroom and the apartment living at the school prior to the beginning of the school year.


Q. What if any is the refund policy if the student is unable to continue attendance?

A. There is the ability to receive a refund of the pro-rated monthly amounts that cover meals, insurance and mobile phone service. All other amounts are not refundable for any reason.


Q. Can the student earn Advanced Placement and College Credits while at ILTexas?

A. Yes, qualified students can participate in AP courses and can take parallel courses for college credit at Richland College.


Q. Does taking AP courses and earning college credit help the student when they apply for college?

A. Yes, the Admissions office will look favorably at AP course credits and the college credits earned.


Q. Does that save on the cost and time for college?

A. Yes, qualifying students will have already earned 2 years worth of college credit so they can enter as if in their Junior year of college. This saves both cost and time spent in college.


Q. Do ILTexas graduates pay 'in-state' or 'out-of-state' tuition for Texas Universities?

A. If the student graduates from ILTexas after 3 years attendance the student will pay the lower 'in-state' tuition rate


Q. Do ILTexas graduating students receive automatic admission to Texas Universities?

A. Yes, if the student is in the top 10% of the graduating class they will receive automatic admission to any Texas State University. For the UT-Austin the automatic admission may be the top 7.5% depending on the number of applicants, but could range up to the top 10% as per the rest of the State.


Q. What about price increases for continuing years at the school after the first?

A. Our policy guarantees that the price upon entry will be the same price annually for the balance of the years that the student attends High School. This guards you against continuing increases and gives you a known fixed price.
